The Cherokees, from Leeds, were one of many groups of the period to come under the influence of producer Mickie Most. Their first record under his guidance, "Seven Daffodils", sold more copies than a version of the same song by the better-known Mojos. Their career looked promising at that point, but little of note was subsequently heard from them.
