The Amazing Spider-Man # 23

A lead-in to MAXIMUM SECURITY!

At long last we learn the secret that connects Senator Ward, Arthur Stacy and the Ranger! And just when ittt was thought it couldn't get more bizarre, it come the aliens known as the Z'Nox!

It was revelations galore. It was presented the story of a mission fifteen years ago, envolving the three characters listed above and a research on alien pathogen done by the organization known as Hydra. The three guys destucted the laboratories where the strange alien pathogen was being developed, but Ward (now Senator) ended up infected.

Now, Senator Ward was on the command of the pathogen that has been laying dormant within his body for that long, and intended to release it upon the world, with the help of the beings that had returned to Earth, the Z'Nox.
