"Ever notice?" "Ever wonder?"

Are we obsessive, or what?!

Most people watch a show once, maybe twice in reruns -- but not the fans of Falcone. After watching Falcone again and again (it is the best show ever made, after all) we begin to notice things that start to drive us crazy. How could the writers, continuity people, and the network allow these things to go unexplained? Perhaps they assumed that most people wouldn't notice. Maybe they planned to explain them in future episodes and never got the chance. But apparently they never assumed that a show that only has nine episodes would have such a large and loyal following.

Here are a few that we came up with. If you notice any others, email them to us at falconefans@aol.com or post 'em at the message board, and we'll add them.

In the first episode, Lucky kisses a girl at Nicky's baby's christening and tells her he'll see her back at the house. Also, you'll notice that he has on a wedding ring throughout the whole series. But through the whole Alana thing no one mentions his wife, and she's not there at his wake. So is he married or what?

When the priest is lining everyone up at the wedding rehearsal by height, why is Dee Dee the last one left without a partner? Alana is at least a head taller than everyone else, so Alana should have been the one without a partner.

Joe goes to pick up the kids at school when Maggie is in the hospital. The principal asks to see his ID, but all he has is his Joe Falcone ID. The camera zooms in so you can see the name and address. Later when Sonny and Jimmy visit Joe at his apartment, the apartment number is different.

Where the heck does Nicky the Kid disappear to? Does he jump off the roof? Is he hiding? Jimmy doesn't even look around. Nicky could be hiding behind the pigeons! Are we supposed to assume Jimmy got him? Or did he get away down the fire escape and skip town?

When Caesar goes to buy the truck, notice how they don't show him getting into the truck. Wonder if he needed a ladder to get in? And just how many phone books was he sitting on to see over the dash? I bet there had to be at least one yellow pages under him.

Whatever happened to the dog? The last we see of Rosie the Sharpei is in Joe's apartment where Lucky is hiding out, just before Sonny and Lucky go for that last drive to the beach. But Joe is never there. He's either at home, with Jules, or with the guys. Who's walking and feeding the dog? Do they keep it? Do they finally sell it?

Joe takes money from Fitz to cover what Tony Allo owes to Sonny. What happens when Sonny goes to collect his 52 large from Fitz? We can assume that the FBI fronts Fitz the money and uses him as an informant, but this is never happens in later episodes. We know Sonny would never forget about that debt, and when he eventually caught up with Fitz for that money, Fitz would tell him how much he gave to Joe -- the same amount Joe came up with to cover Allo.

The guys get together at the Motion Lounge for the Thursday night poker game. (Six of them are there, but only four of them walk out -- if ya know what I mean.) When the hit happens, the lights are on and the door is open. Anyone passing by would be able to see this happening. Sally just stands there in the middle of the room with his hands in his pockets. When it's all over, he walks over to the door and locks it and tells Vito to shut the lights. Why doesn't he do this as the hit starts happening instead of just standing there watching?

I believe I notice something. When Sonny calls Joe from the bench and he has the great hair shot (the Uncle Jackie episode) and they walk through the street, Sonny talks about seeing his first wise guy......when they are driving in the car, Sonny's hair is short and Joe's is longer, like the pilot episode, But when they get to the alley where Sonny's father was killed and they get out of the car, their hair is oppisite again. Sonny's is longer and Joe's is short.

After Noah told Sonny that he isn't going to be the next underboss, Sonny throws a bar stool in frustration and smashes a bottle. In slow motion we see that the bottom of the bottle remains firmly on the table while the top is blown to pieces. Have you ever seen a bottle react that way unless it's made from theater glass?

After Lucky is killed, Sonny is sitting in the Motion Lounge and sees Lucky's ghost looking at him through the window. When the Lounge is shown from the outside it's pretty obvious that Lucky would need to jump up to see in the window. Turns out that it's Joe looking in the window and Sonny imagines it's Lucky, but even Joe would not be tall enough to walk up to the window and just look in.

Scars!
Sonny's Navigator gets blown up at the end of episode 8 injuring him and DeDe. When you see them in the hospital in the last episode talking to each other, they both have a lot of facial scars from the explosion. Later there's a scene where DeDe "treatens ta off herseff," as Jimmy puts it. Joe goes in to try to take the gun away from her. Her scars are there in every scene except one very quick shot where she's hugging Joe. They very quickly flash back and forth between Joe's face and DeDe's face and in one of those shots, she has no scars on her face.

Also Sonny's scars have a tendency to move and change size and shape. The scars he has in the hospital don't match the ones he has when he's testifying in court. And then later at the party at the lounge and also with Caesar, the scars change again!
