Well, I had to go on a run tonight, but it was great.
There was one of those warm, end-of-the-summer rains. And I felt like I was five years old again, running around in the rain.
But really I was running foward on the road in the rain.
At the end of my run, which was the best run I've had all summer, I realized that sometimes it feels so good to remember what being alive feels like.
It's so strange and wonderful to actually feel alive. Not just to exist in it, but to feel it.
When I got home I didn't want to go in yet, so I remembered what we learned in yoga and did "Salutation to the Sun" in my front yard. But I guess today I could call it "Salutation to the Rain"...
