Map: Description: The aim of this event is to provide
an environment in which Grobanites can gather and meet one another. Attend
expecting to have new friends when you leave. The first part of the evening (6:00
p.m. 8:30 p.m.): Registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. Each guest
will receive a nametag and a gift bag. The gift bag will be full of surprises
from all corners of Grobania. The M&G will be catered by Tanglewood
Catering services. There will be a light dinner served buffet style during
the first part of the evening. A cash bar will also be available. Everyone
is encouraged to eat and mingle. A Silent Auction will be held to benefit
DFF and David S. Everyone bidding on an auction item will receive a gift
in appreciation of their involvement. Items up for auction will be displayed
with a corresponding bid sheet. Guests are encouraged to make the rounds
of the auction items, bid high and bid often! The auction will come to
a close at 7:30 p.m. Winners will be announced before the concert begins.
There will be plenty of fun to be had as you will meet people from around
the world all with a common interest, Josh Groban. Shout outs
will bring your attention to the incredibly diverse and unique group that
we are while bringing a smile to your face. Come ready to place a face
with the board name whose posts you have been reading for so long! They
are all going to be at Tanglewood on August 2nd! The second half of the evening (approx.
10:30 p.m. 1:30 a.m.): Everyone will be welcomed back to the Hawthorne
Tent at the conclusion of the concert. The M&G will take up where
it left off. Continued networking and silliness will ensue. A buffet dessert
will be offered with coffee and tea. It will be an opportunity to continue
the festivities and share concert experiences. There will be entertainment
provided from our own ranks. Plan on bringing your cameras to document all of your fun and new friends made. There are no cameras allowed during the concert. If you plan to sit out on the lawn for the concert, bring a blanket or folding chairs for a comfortable experience. There are concession stands open before and during the concert intermission. The grounds are perfect for a leisurely walk or for poking through the buildings and shopping the glass house for souvenirs. If you are interested in attending and have not already done so, please contact me with your intentions. We do not plan to cap the attendance on this event, however, reservations placed after July 25th will not be accommodated. The more the merrier! I will be emailing all of those who have already expressed interest and are on my database, with the same information that I have posted here. Billing for the M&G and all outstanding ticket purchased through me will take place the first and second week of June (after I have returned from Toronto and my first Josh performance!) Also, please take a moment to fill out the questionnaire found on the Josh/Tanglewood Website for each person in your party. This will really help us as we continue planning for this event. If you are without concert tickets, I have lawn tickets available at $16 each. They should remain available until the end of June at which time I will be finalizing the number of lawn tickets I plan to use with Tanglewood. I am sure that I have forgotten something in this announcement! Let me know what it is and I will do my best to fill in the blanks! I am SO looking forward to playing hostess to all of you, this summer! The elves are scratching their pointy little ears in anticipation! It is very considerate of Josh to play Tanglewood and bring all of you to this beautiful part of the country! As always, let me know if there is anything I can do! Smiling in Joshland! Lisa |
