Rules
Here it is, the rules on this brilliant RPG.
Characters
To start, I'll explain the characters. Males are more brawny but slower than females but females are more agile but less strong. For unknown people they are average. (There are some exceptions for some characters but not many). The characters with fist fighting under their picture fight with their hands and can't handle swords, guns.etc The ones with hand held weapons can only fight with swords, staffs.etc The ones with long range weapons can only have guns, weapons that you throw, etc
Character profile
Next, the character profile. First is the team name. Then there is a leader of a team and if the leader says so, a second in command, third in command... Some people can just be part of the team. Next is a job (See job section). When you're in a town you can be a shop assistant or something but if travelling you could perform jobs for certain people like collecting horns off a monster or something. After that is an age. This doesn't really apply to anyone, just for facts. A motive is next and it is the ultimate goal for your character. A character can have no motive or any motive. You start off with no motive but can ask for one when you're in. The motives are:
World domination (by fear),
World domination (by heroism),
Top battler,
Map the world,
Destroy the world,
Materia collector,
Item collector,
And any others that you might want.
The weapon or weapons is what that person is currently holding. You can't have millions of weapons and just say they're all over you. There is a limit to them. Armour is the armour you're wearing at the time. Height doesn't apply that much, only in low/high situations. Birthdate and birthplace don't apply. The level is obviously the level you're on. You gain levels by fighting monsters. ST is your strength, DEX is your dexterity, VIT is your vitality, MAG is your magic, SPT is your spirit, LK is your luck, ATTK is your attack strength, ATTK% is your hit rate, DEF is your defence, DEF% is your dodge rate, MAG ATTK is your magic attack strength, MAG DEF is your magic defence and MAG DEF% is dodging the full blast of the magic. HP and MP is health and magic points. Status is what you're doing (Training, drinking, etc). Battles is how many battles you've been in from when you started. Kills is how many kills you've made. Escapes is how many times you've escaped and K.O.s is how many times you've been knocked out (can be brought back by Revive Materia or Phoenix Down). Items is what items you are carrying. There is an almost infinte place for items. You can only have 1500 items. Gil is the Final Fantasy money (instead of dollars). Accessories is your talismans or rings. You can only have one accessory on you. Buildings owned is the buildings you have bought or found. You may have to protect these if you want to keep them (Transporting vehicles count as buildings). Location is what town you're in or town you're travelling to. Limit breaks are ultimate moves that can only be gained if you have an aura item or taken a beating. AOL name is what your name is on AOL. You have to have an AOL name or you can't go on this. Time here is how long you've been on the RPG. D=day.
Weapons
Only certain people can use certain weapons. Eg: Sephiroth can only use swords but can never use guns because he just doesn't. If your person is a hand held weapon person, they can only use swords and staffs and other things like that. If you're person is a long range person, they can only use guns or boomerangs and stuff (Gunblades are hand held weapons, they can't be used as a long range weapon. Only the gun is used when striking with blade). Fist fighting people use gloves or claws to fight. Everyone starts off with a weapon but they are weak ones. All weapons have materia slots. a slot is indicated by a O. See
Materia.
Armour
Everyone starts off with Full Body Leather armour. Some armour has added abilities like resistance to fire and stuff. All weapons have materia slots. a slot is indicated by a O. See Materia.
Accessories
Accessories are like little boosts to your character. All accessories do something. Boosting your abilities or stopping/draining elements. There's no point in wearing armour that does the same thing as your accessory. You don't start off with accessories.
Materia
Materia is condensed Mako that has been put into solid form. If you have Materia you can use magic. There is a lot of Materia in the world and it can be complicated. The only way to use Materia is if you have a weapon or armour with Materia slots in it. Materia slots look like O's. Joint Materia looks like O=O. There doesn't have to be support materia in the other slot. This type of Materia is linked up with Support Materia. To put Materia in slots, email me and say where you want what Materia. There are 5 types of Materia -
Independent Materia: Purple Materia. This enhances the character's status, such as maximum HP and strength.
Support Materia: Blue Materia. This Materia shows full effect when used in conjunction with other Materia, such as ALL or HP PLUS. Make sure you insert this Materia in linked slots (either slot is OK) when equipping this Materia in a weapon or armour. Insert Command Materia or Magic Materia in the other slot (You can sometimes put Summon Materia in the other slot.) . The effects of these Materia will be enhanced with Support Materia.
Command Materia: Yellow Materia. This will increase the number of commands that can be used during battle such as Steal and Throw.
Magic Materia: Green Materia. This will enable you to cast a number of Attack Magic (Fire) and Curative Magic (Restore).
Summon Materia: Red Materia. This will enable you to cast Summon Magic during battle, in order to call a Summon God.
Summon Gods
Gods (or Summon Gods or Guardian Forces) gain levels just like you do. They start off on level 10 and can gain levels every time you use them. The AP you get each battle goes towards them (if you use them) and all your other materia including the red materia used to summon the gods in the first place. Now you may have to use them a lot but it can be worth it. All Gods start at level 10 and each do roughly the same damage. There are some exceptions (Diablos, Knights Of The Round, etc). You do not start off with any red materia.
Battle
Battle is done in 4's or less to a team. There can be more than 4 people in a team but they can't all be in the same battle (unless they're have a inside team fight in which case, 4 on each side.). Groups in a team can't take on the same other teams group again and again. In other words, they aren't allowed to cue up to fight.
Battle is done in turns and dodging an attack depends on the stats. ATTK% is the hit rate. If the attack percent fails you don't hit. You also have a DEF% for dodging. If the DEF% is 10 you dodge one tenth of the attacks.
The turns may take some time. It all depends on who has the highest DEX. The highest DEX in the group gets first turn. The time it takes is the highest DEX x 5. Say that ends up as 100. Then the first person to reach 100 by adding their DEX together again and again has their turn. Then the next one after that... If someone has equal DEX to another then it's someone at random. Someone could end up having 3 attacks while someone else is only halfway to their first attack. It all depends on DEX.
Attack strength is measured by ST+DEX+VIT+ATTK DIVIDED BY 2.
Where you are on the battlefield also affects play. There are two positions in a group: Offensive and Defensive. Offensive is being closer to the enemy than being Defensive. When in Defensive you have a weaker attack but a stronger Defence.
