The Durans Family Coat of Arms


The name Durans was first found in Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Salop.
They were granted land by Duke William of Normandy, their liege Lord, for their distinguished assistance at the
Battle of Hastings in 1066 AD.

25 December 1741
John baptised 27 December 1719 at Mirfield. Married Grace Holdsworth on
9 May 1745 at Mirfield.
Sarah baptised 3 December 1722 at Mirfield. Married John Parker on
5 October 1756 at Dewsbury.
Susanna baptised 28th December 1725 (my direct ancestor)
Martha baptised 7 April 1729 at Mirfield
Elizabeth (Betty) baptised 11 October 1731 at Mirfield. Married James Ellis on 8 January 1753 at Mirfield.
Thomas baptised 26 December 1734 at Mirfield. Married Martha Farnish on
2 May 1757. She died 1759. Thomas then married Arabella Barley at Mirfield on 26 December 1759.
