No replacement for displacement. Unless it's a small block. Then sometimes a supercharger helps.
Here's the info on my Volare Road Runner Super Coupe.
Engine: 360 .030 over with TRW forged flat top pistons, approx 9.0:1 compression. Stock crank & rods
Intake: Edelbrock Torker single plane intake, Carter AFB 750 carburetor, K&N 14x6 filter
Valvetrain: Comp Cams Magnum 292H cam & lifters, "J" heads, 2.02 & 1.60 valves, quite ported and fully polished.
Ignition: MSD 6AL box, MSD distributor, MSD Blaster2 coil (see a pattern?)
Transmission: 727 Torqueflite, hi-stall converter (not sure), Transco re-programming kit.
Rear End: 8¾" Sure-grip with 3.55:1 gears (soon to be replaced with 3.91s or 4.10s, when I can find some cheap enough.)
Wheels/Tires: American Racing 15x8.5s with 275/60R15 GoodYear Eagle yellow letter tires - back; stock 14x4 wheels off my Scamp with some small tires - front.
Body & Interior. Spitfire orange, albeit faded, white interior, can't decide whether to put the fender flares back on or not.
Hopefully soon I'll have my fender tag typed up and ready to place, but until then…
