In October 2001 José joined with other Latin artists to make a CD in aid of the victims of September 11th. "El Ulitimo Adios" is reviewed on my Seen and Heard Page. I read on Christina Aguila's Web Site that "El Ultimo Adios" reached number 3 in the latin charts!
Early in 2002 Pollstar listed Feliciano concerts not on other gig guides.
In April 2002 José appeared in Fort Meyers and gave this INTERVIEW In which he talked about his new album and his feelings about September 11th.
In May 2002 the new block buster film "About a Boy" opened in Britain, "Feliz Navidad" appears in the film.
On May 4th José appeared in Colorado and two visitors to this site wrote These reviews .
May 12th 2002 I have heard that tickets for José's performances at London's Jazz Cafe are selling FAST and that at least one night is sold out. If you want tickets you need to buy them NOW by visiting the Jazz Cafe Web Site
May 17th 2002 Many Brits must be devastated by the news that José's performances at Jazz Cafe have been cancelled. I have no more news about attempts to rearrange them but will post what I have when I get it!
More than two weeks after receiving the news that José would not appear in London in June we still have no news. Personally I will never be anything other than a Feliciano fan (despite jokes to the contrary!). I don't believe that José would have cancelled without EXTREMELY good reasons and we can only hope that the engagements are rearranged.
5th June 2002: I have JUST read on the Jazz Cafe Web Site that the dates have been rearranged and José will now come to London in OCTOBER. The dates are 11th - 16th October. Ticket holders need to look at the web site themselves as it says which days our tickets will be transferred to - use the link above. OK it's disappointing but as far as I'm concerned he is still the BEST by a million miles soooooo cya in October!
16th June 2002: I was sent a link to an interesting article on José GO HERE to read it.
23rd June 2002: I have heard rumours that José was in Italy earlier this week before traveling on to Portugal. I also hear that José MAY perform in Italy in late July. Neither of these stories is substantiated by his Personal Website.
However his personal website does have an interesting update; go there and click on "Artist Management". It seems that John Regna in no longer performing the dual role of manager and agent for José, he is now only listed as manager. Personally I have always thought Mr Regna did a good job and can only hope the change will lead to something even better than the success of Senor Bolero for which he was responsible.
The same page also says José's English language recordings will be released on Intercontinental Records not Universal; I can only hope that this brings about an early release of the new English album and that we soon have both that and "Senor Bolero 2" in our CD collections!
7th July 2002: It seems that José is to make an extensive concert tour of Italy in August. His personal web site has not yet listed specific dates and venues but The Fantastic Feliciano Web Site lists them and it seems José will appear in some incredible places. If people are planning to go to these concerts remember they are not confirmed by José's web site. My advice would be to contact the venue and make you own decision about whether you think it will happen. I would also keep an eye on the Fantastic Feliciano site as its web master Filippo Pelillo is Italian and most likely to get news first.
13th July 2002: José's personal website now lists the Italian dates including some not mentioned in the link I gave last week go here to read that list.
It seems the first concert is barely two weeks away and will afford the best chance for mainland Europeans to see José in the near future, it seems such a shame that information is so scant, if anyone finds anything send it to me and I will post it in the hope we can spread the word a little!

20th July 2002: This site has information about a compilation cd which includes a new Feliciano track in English!
4th August 2002: Earlier this week I found out that there would be a web cast of José's concert in Milan, unfortunately my ISP went down before I could post anything about it. I got back on line to see the web cast myself and José looked good, was in great form and sounded incredible (as always). He played "Killing's Not the Answer" which MAY be the new "Sizzling Summer Single" promised by his web site for 20th August.....more news on this when we have it! I'll do a proper reveiw of the web cast in the next few days.
25th August 2002: I've been too tied up with events in my own life to do anything here for a couple of weeks. No news on the promised single.......but click here for a clip from an interview José gave during his first trip to London. British fans keep an eye on TV listings Channel 5 are re running "Mac Millan and Wife" on Thursday afternoons.

September 15th 2002: In less than four weeks José will be in England. As the excitement mounts visit this page to hear any news I have and to communicate with other people who are going. Let's make this the best ever Feliciano gig!
September 22nd 2002: If you go to ASCAP and put José's name into the search engine it brings up some interesting links. Also I've read that in March 2000 José was inducted into the Latin Hall of Fame. BUT the big news is that this week, after years of campaigning by many people, BMG are re-releasing the Christmas Album. Retitled "Feliz Navidad" the new CD will contain several unreleased tracks.
29th September 2002: No news this week, but two requests, if anyone gets the Christmas Album and wants to review it for me please let me know AND I've got this daft idea that it would be really good to have reviews of each night of Jazz Café to show José's diversity within a short period of time at one venue; sooooo if you would like to help let me know!

16th November 2002: While I was in London I met Danish Feliciano fan Bejarne Jensen who is a VERY talented artist, visit the other main sections on this site to see some examples of his work AND look out for the Feliciano Fiesta e mail Christmas Card which will be available though this site SOON - if I can work out how to do it!

1st December 2002: This will be my last update of 2002! On Thursday I leave for my long awaited (and talked about) trip to South America! Please continue to visit the Feliciano Fiesta site however because my friend Alan Wilson will take over as web master in my absence! CYA late January 2003!
