One city's greed is about to bring about the end of the life of a planet. Within the huge, industrialised and polluted city of Midgar the mighty conglomerate known as Shinra. Ltd is draining mako energy from the planet in order to create more fuel. Mako energy is drawn from within the planet by seven huge Mako reactors which form a ring around Midgar. All is not quite as straitforward as it may seem however, as the rebel group known as AVALANCHE prepares to fight the evil Shinra company, starting by destroying all seven mako reactors. Joining them on their mission is the serious and hardened Cloud Strife, a former member of the elite fighting unit, SOLDIER, but now working as a mercenary for hire. As Cloud is drawn further into this enormous struggle for the life of the planet he must also contend with the growing threat from the mysterious ex-SOLDIER member, Sephiroth. |
