This is the shorter form of the kimono that is popular amongst males. However, women too, can wear this as well! These shorter kimonos go great with the hakama (pleated skirt-like pants) that are the most popular form of traditional clothing amongst Japanese men. They can be worn for formal occasions, special holidays, or just for comfort. This set also comes with the simple, free flowing men's heko obi that is tucked on the inside of the hakama. Kimonos and the heko obis vary in fabric and its designs, embroidery, and patterns (swans, flowers, leaves, stripes, etc). If you desire a certain kimono, please find a picture of a certain anime/videogame or a real life model of the kimono design featuring the colors and patterns you would like on it.
