It was a clear night in Arus. All the stars shone brightly, with not a single cloud in sight. The starry night could be enjoyed by everyone in the Denubian Galaxy. And it was being watched by Princess Allura and Commander Keith of the Voltron Force. "Keith, why do you keep looking at that one galaxy?" Allura asked her sweetheart. "That's the Milky Way, where the Earth is." It had been a couple years since Keith had joined the Voltron force, and he had not been able to go back to his planet. "I just hope someone is defending the Earth just like we are defending Arus and Pollux." "I hope so too. Look, a shooting star! Time to make a wish!" Allura told Keith. "I wish I could know that the Earth is in good hands." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile, on planet earth... It was also a clear, starry night. It could be seen in all continents, especially in the pristine Hope Island, where the Planeteers lived now (when they were not stuck in school). Linka and Wheeler were gazing at the starry night, together. "Linka, why do you keep looking at that one galaxy?" Wheeler asked his girlfriend. "That's the Denubian Galaxy. Where Planet Arus is, and the Voltron Force is in action," Linka replied "Awesome! That's great that you could find it. If only we could meet the Voltron Force. They're my idols!" Wheeler's eyes got really wide. "Well, the Galaxy Alliance has a station on Earth. Maybe if we went there we could arrange a visit. Some of the Voltron Force members come from Earth." "Sorry to interrupt you two lovebirds, but did you just say that we're gonna meet the Voltron Force?" Ma-Ti walked into the happy couple. "That's right dude! We're actually going tomorrow! Tell Gi and Kwame." Wheeler by now could not contain his joy and was jumping up and down. The next day, all five Planeteers headed happily towards the Galaxy Alliance station. The Geo-Cruiser must have been flying at maximum speed; they had to get there fast (at least Wheeler said so). With all the major Eco-Villains in prison (except Zarm, that is, because nobody could ever track him down), the Planet was relatively safe for now, therefore Gaia granted them a little vacation. "Wow, Planeteers. I admire your courage. It is not every day that someone is willing to travel to another galaxy. With the technology imported from Planet Arus, it has become much faster. But you guys are still pretty gutsy," Colonel Morton said. "Who will be piloting the spaceship?" Linka asked, always curious and skeptical. "I will." They recognized the person immediately--it was Lance, pilot of the Red Lion. They did not know he had paid Earth a visit. "Oh yeah. Just because I am a Voltron Force member doesn't mean they forgot my student loans!" Lance joked. Wheeler and Lance double high fived each other. "I have heard lotsa good things about you Planeteers since I came for my visit. Wait till I tell Keith about you, he's going to be super happy. He was worried about his planet." "Well, most of the villains have been punished by the law, so the Earth will be okay for a bit." Gi said confidently. A week later, in the spaceship still but almost arriving at Arus... "So, Lance, is Zarkon still menacing Arus?" Kwame asked, concerned. "You bet he is. He wants to take over our planet and its twin Pollux. And his son, Lotor, wants to marry Allura, even though she and Keith are engaged. By the way, Blondie, you look a lot like Allura, so be careful," Lance told Linka. "Me? Look like Allura?" Linka asked. "Yeah. You might be, um, curvier, but you still have the same kind of royal beauty she possesses. Be careful with Lotor. And you too, Geisha Girl. Just `cause he has a preferred type does not mean much--he would take any woman in his harem." "Don't call me Geisha Girl, mister. I am not even Japanese. Plus I can defend myself," Gi yelled at Lance. "Yeah, and if Lotor even considers hitting on Linka, I will make him pay for it," Wheeler said. "Even you fellows should watch out for Lotor. He is bad," Lance warned. "But the Voltron Force will be there to protect everyone." When Lance and the Planeteers arrived at Arus, they were greeted by the other members of the Voltron Force. "I am happy to hear that the Earth is being protected by such great people," Keith told the Planeteers. "Well, it is wonderful, too, that Arus has the Voltron Force." Kwame could not believe his eyes. That afternoon, the Voltron Force and Planeteers all were together, checking out the amazing Lion technology. "I love your funky monkey" Pidge told Ma-Ti "His name is Suchi. I named him that cause he was trying to eat a raw fish (sushi). Your mice are so cute." "The mice just love Pidge," Bandor smirked. The Voltron Force and the Planeteers were having a great time in Arus. However, their vacation would be cut short by an evil--a worse kind than either team had ever faced. Part 2 |
