Aims and Objectives

Vision Statement

The Vision of 'Friends of Pastoral Care Inc' is to enable the continuation of the work of the Pastoral Care Team at Leeton District Hospital and to promote the work of Pastoral Care in our community.

The Pastoral Care Team is made up of a group of lay people - from all walks of life - and clergy from the local churches.

Team members are all encouraged to listen to, reassure, and offer spiritual comfort and - sometimes to share some joy - to patients, relatives, carers, friends and staff of the Leeton District Hospital without discrimination in a friendly, loving, non-judgmental way.

Objects

The objects of 'Friends of Pastoral Care Inc' are:

To be actively involved in the Pastoral Care Team which provides Pastoral Care Services to all persons directly and immediately in need of relief and support.
To maintain Quiet Rooms, provide education, special courses, Ecumenical Services, resources, tapes and books to provide practical assistance to patients, carers and staff around the time of hospitalisation.
To raise awareness and raise funds to continue the Pastoral Care Team's support of members of the local community through direct and personal support at times of crisis.
