Every so often a group appears in the public eye that simply cannot be ignored. Hear'Say are one such group and have spawned more interest than most due to the ITV documentary by Granada which followed the birth and growth of this Group. "Popstars" the series, which has been a formula adopted in many countries recently, followed these wannabes from jobs such as waiter and mother, to full blown pop stars. This series, along with a large amount of media attention has ensured that their single "Pure and Simple" has already spent 3 weeks at No. 1 and has won a place in the "Guinness Book of Records" as the biggest selling debut single. With the album release topping the charts it appears that there is no stopping these pop stars. ![]() Hear'Say The Album - Hear'Say The Single - Hear'Say The Video - Hear'Say The DVD - Hear'Say The Book -

Humans by Donald E. Westlake Like God and the Devil, writer Donald E. Westlake has many names and sometimes seems to be everywhere all at once. In the field of crime literature, Westlake has few peers, a legion of admirers, and innumerable imitators. Since the 1960 publication of his smash debut The Mercenaries, he's written more than 70 novels (40-something under his own name and dozens more under a gaggle of pseudonyms), including two of the best crime fiction series ever written, and dozens of one-shot genre-twisting classics. His film credits include at least two movies that many writers would kill to have on their resumé. Westlake's screenplay for The Grifters, adapted from the Jim Thompson novel, won a well-deserved Academy Award in 1990. Hell and Back by Tim Parks Essays .
