| Hot and humid have been the order of the day for the past several days. We actually got some rain, which we really needed. We took Magnum down to the lake yesterday a different way in an effort to "sneak" up on the lake. No way! He saw his ball and lake rope so he knew. He isn't stupid. We got down to the lake and the water was green! Poor Erica. You can't not take Magnum in the water once you get him down there. He *lives* for the water. She waded in and just walked him down from where we went into the lake to "Our" section and brought him out. I didn't have to talk her into a shower yesterday! On the way home she said she was going to wash twice and from now on, she would check the lake *before* we took him out. Good thing she check because today it was green too. I've only seen it green once and it was only for a day but this is our first summer here so I have a lot to learn about the lake. So, instead of swimming today, Magnum just went for a walk. It wasn't a very long walk but it was very hot and humid out today so he came back panting heavily. I'm sure he gets pretty warm in that black coat of his. We are 14 weeks post TPLO tomorrow, the 20th. I think I'll call Monday just to let his Dr. know about his progress and see what his recommendation is now. I would like to be able to let him off leash for potty walks in the yard. We let him off leash in the lake and he was o.k. except that you can hardly catch him to get him out of the water. We keep his "lake rope" on him now so we can get him out when it's time to go. :-) |
