Educate me!

How damon's thirst for knowledge can lead to our edification...

Third and Fourth week of September 1999

"I wanna make a record that's adventurous. No-one's making adventurous records at the moment, apart from more underground bands. And William Orbit likes us for the reasons that we like us."

-damon

So this was just around the time that blur were to throw themselves wholeheartedly into the recording process for what was to become "13, " their latest. Do any of us doubt their adventurism into the world of prog-rock? Their outlook on the recording process seems to have been thrown upside down as a result of working with William Orbit. This is a great thing in light of the high likelihood that blur will never again release a CD that they would come to consider as an embarrassment (hint: TGE).
