Nineteen Ninety-Two was the year Daymond John had the idea to make and sell his own hats as a means of "easy money," and the fact that he just couldn't find what he was looking for. He began sewing them at his home in Queens. With a $100,000 mortgage on his home, Daymond turned half of the house into a factory and the other half into a living space for the "Team." The "Team" consisted of neighborhood friends that are all integral parts of the company to date, Carl Brown and J. Alexander Martin, Keith Perrin

		Daymond was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Hollis Queens a year later. Growing up in Hollis put Daymond right next to the likes of LL Cool J, Salt & Pepper, Run DMC, Russel Simons and many other artists.
		As an only child Daymond adopted his three closest friends as sort of brothers. They would one day help him fulfill his dream of starting a business, and are an integral part of the company to date. These "brothers" are Carl Brown friends since age 5, J. Alexander Martin friends since age 10 and Keith Perrin friends since age 15.
		Early on Daymond was inspired by the fashion club scene of the early days and by what he saw on the streets. After trying different business ventures; he remembered his mother's voice saying shoot high believe in yourself and follow your dreams.

Daymond has always felt that the potential and talent in his neighborhood
is overflowing, and just beginning to be recognized and wishes for his company
to grow as the urban community continues to grow.

Daymond enjoys animals, fishing and extreme sports. He is presently single
but has someone very dear to his heart.

Daymond's most valued philosophy "Never let the negativity lead you astray"

Carl Brown Top

Carl Brown was born in 1969 also in Queens.

His greatest influence was his grandfather who owned real estate
and his own business. Looking up to him and listening to his guiding
words. Carl discovered at an early age that he wanted to be in and
develop his own thing.

Carl enjoys motorcycles, sports, and hanging out with his friends.

Carl is the strong, laid back silent type...the one your mother told
you to watch out for!

J. Alexander Martin Top

J. Alexander Martin was born in 1970 also in Queens.

His greatest influence was in fashion and the finer things in life. His
artistic and technical abilities led him to the Fashion Institute of
Technology.

J worked in boutiques before enlisting in the military where he was
decorated for his service in the Gulf war.

After returning home J hooked back up with Daymond and began
working on what is now known as FUBU and has help turn it into the
company it is today. Not only is J the Vice- President but he is
also the head designer.
J enjoys reading, quite dinners and of course shopping. He is single and
currently living alone.

Keith Perrin Top

Known as the wilder side of FUBU, like all the guys Keith Perrin was
born in Hollis Queen in l970.

His greatest influence was his mother... In Keith's words, "she kept
me straight."

He went to Bayside High School, and is a sports fanatic, playing
football and basketball.

Managing an apartment complex in Harlem gave Keith his first taste
of business and when Daymond begins to get things started, he didn't
hesitate to gamble with him and it's been the best bet he's placed so
far.
