Changes in the Wind
Hayashi General Manager Mark Trollinger announced today that Hayashi Head Coach Ray Rhodes has decided to step down as the Silver Dragons field coach. Rhodes who has been the head coach since June 21, 1999 led the Silver Dragons to their only CDFL title in 2001, a wild card playoff berth in 2002 and into the post season this past season. Rhodes has agreed to remain with Hayashi's front office as Director of Scouting / Development.
Trollinger will begin the search for Hayashi's third head coach immediately. "It's never too early to begin preparations for next season", Trollinger told CDFLInsider. It will be a huge plus for our organization to retain Coach Rhodes in the front office. He is an important part of Silver Dragon history." It is thought that most, if not all of Rhodes staff will resign or accept new positions within the organizations as the new coach will most likely surround himself with a staff of his chosing.
More details will follow on the search for the new Silver Dragon coach as details become available.
