We Have Our Team!!

Coach Terry Hoeppner’s first draft as the field manager of the Silver Dragons was met with postitive reviews following Saturday night’s event. With the team’s first pick, Hoeppner selected Wide Receiver Randy Moss to return to the Silver Dragons. “From the films that I saw from last season, Randy performed very well and our expectation is that he will increase on the numbers he put up a season ago. “ Throwing to Moss will be Matt Hasselbeck, the QB the Silver Dragon staff wanted the most. “This kid will only continue to improve,” said Coach Hoeppner. I expect the Seahawks to challenge for the Super Bowl based on his performance. The combination of Moss & Hasselbeck will be a winning tandem for Hayashi.“ To compliment this dynamic duo, Hoeppner tabbed WR Laveraneous Coles and two rookie running backs: Kevin Jones and Julius Jones. Splitting time as third receiver will be Reggie Wayne and rookie WR Reggie Williams. Hayashi picked up a descent bench to fill in during off weeks. QB David Carr and 3rd stringer Vinny Testeverde were signed as well a rookie Ben Roethlisberger. RB Ron Dayne will provide veteran leader- ship at the position while LaBrandon Toefield will serve as an emergency backup. The other W.R.’s are speedy and could see some action: Darrius Watts, Doug Gabriel and Justin Gage. The main weakness in the Hayashi armor could be the defense - signing Chicago Bears and Cleveland Brown, neither know to stop many opponents. After the dust settles, General Manager Mark Trollinger was pleased. CDFL Insider reported ranked the Silver Dragons as the 4th toughtest starting lineup in the league. We should definitely win enough games to make the playoffs, which is what our goal is each year. I think we will be alright.“
