Fushigi Soudan 2: Cultures

Quite a few years have gone by in the book world between the events of Fushigi Yuugi and Fushigi Soudan, and while many things are the same, there are a lot of differences. These differences will undoubtedly become more obvious as we write more and build our world. This page will contain descriptions of the cultures that can be found in FS.

For resources on creating a culture based on an existing one in the world, see the links page.

Four Countries
(individual countries coming soon...)
 Hokkan
Sailou Kutou
 Kutou
General Historical Background:
Over two hundred years has passed since the arrival of Suzaku no Miko, Yuuki Miaka, and Seiryuu no Miko, Hongo Yui. Kutou has been rebuilt and the four countries are at peace. In this time, they have established a trade road between the four countries and the outside world, bringing traces of outside culture into the four countries. While cities and towns are becoming more populated, the tribes of Sailou and Hokkan are diminishing, and in an effort to preserve their culture, the gap between the tribal natives and the city-dwellers has widened. One hundred years ago, Taiitsukun again visited the ruling emperors of the four countries, giving them each a copy of the "ShiJinTenChiSho."
Meanwhile, in the real world, about five years have passed between the time Sasaki Mayo entered the ShiJinTenChiSho. The book has been rediscovered in the National Library, and four girls get pulled in to become the new miko and save the countries from destruction.
