So you've taken a look around this site and you've decided that you want to become a part of all this madness. Just send a blank email to fs2-subscribe@egroups.com Or, here's a little form you can use instead. Just type your email address into the box, then click on the handy li'l button:

That'll get you signed up to the mailing list, within a day or two. You don't have to write anything or submit anything; you can just sit back and read the stories as soon as they're posted by our eager authors, as well as any OOC posts that come floating by....

Now, let's say you've gotten yourself signed up and you're a list member. But you want more. In fact, you want to become part of the story. You want to create a character and you want to start posting to the list. Please do; we'd love to have you as part of the story!

Here's a set of guidelines that you should keep in mind when creating your character. (Please try to follow these guidelines; a character that breaks several of these rules might not be approved for entering the story.) And here's a listing of the kinds of stats you might want to come up with for your character. Please send this list of stats, as well as some description of your character, to the list so that the list moderators can approve it and have your character added to the Characters page.

So now you're on the list, and you've got an approved character that you're eager to play. Hold your horses! Please wait a couple of days before launching right into your character's story. Read the stories in the Archives as well as the current posts, so that you know generally what's going on in FS2. Check out the other characters that you'll be interacting with. Read a bunch of posts to get an idea of the general expectations and etiquette on this list. And then, by all means, join in the fun!
