Game Rules

Galactic Battle is a Star Wars themed Real Time RPG, using the AIM chat service chatrooms in order to Roleplay with other Galactic Battle members,
as well as battle using the built in dice program in AIM Chatrooms.

For Example: Player A's stats have enabled him to have 2 four sided dice for melee attacks and 2 three sided dice for ranged defense.
Player B's stats have enabled them to have 3 three sided dice for ranged attack and 2 two sided dice for melee defense.

Therefore. Player A shall type //roll-sides4-dice2 for attacks and //roll-sides3-dice2 for defense.
While Player B will type //roll-sides3-dice3 for attack and //roll-sides2-dice2 for defense.

Player A rolled 2 4-sided dice: 1 4
Player B rolled 2 2-sided dice: 2 1

So in order to calculate damage, you add the attacker's roll (5) and subtract the defender's roll (3). Player B takes 2 damage to HP. Players will continue to switch off attacking until one player reaches 0 HP.

If you have further questions about battling, please feel free to email us.

Attributes

There are three types of attributes in Galactic Battle.
  1. Stats
  2. Skills
  3. Techniques

Each character starts with Race Specific stats, skills and techniques, with an additional 20 points to distribute to stats and skills. For additional information on Stats and Skills, please visit the character race page.

Leveling
In order to level up, you need experience points. In order to gain XP, you will have to participate in the following activities:
  1. Active Roleplaying: Active Roleplaying Refers to the basic roleplaying in AIM chatrooms. Upon sending a copy of your RP session to an admin, you will receive an amount of experience depending on the length of the session.

  2. PvP Battles: PvP battling refers to fights between human players. A limit of 5 PvP Battles per day will be strictly enforced.

  3. PvP Death Battles: A PvP Battle is operated exactly as a regular PvP battle with one difference. The players will put up a pre-determined amount of their current XP and credits before the battle starts. The loser will lose a chunk of their XP while the winner will take it all. In the result of a tie, both players will be charged 5% of their credits for cloning costs. A maximum of 10% of your current XP will be allowed to be bet, while there is no limit on credits. A limit of 1 Death Battle per day will be allowed. Please Note that anyone caught abusing the Death Battle system will NOT be allowed to participate in PvP Death Battles and will be subjected to a 25% experience loss.

  4. Questing: Questing can refer to three things:
    1. Story Quests: A short story written by the player regarding a quest based on events that happened in an earlier RP session.
    2. Character Quests: A short story based off of the character's backstory. XP will be determined by length.
    3. Group Quest: A quest involving a lead-player controlling NPC characters and events that a large group of players participates in.

  5. Boss Battles: Boss Battles are battles against lead-player controlled NPCs. They are fought in the same fashion as other battles, but the difficulty is significantly increased. Boss battles may be fought alone or in a group (with the XP/Credits being divided equally among the group). For more information on Boss Battles, please refer to the Planet Pages (each planet has it's own set of Boss Battles). A limit of three boss battles per day will be enforced and each boss will get a 5% increase to attributes after each time you defeat it.
