Q. How often is the game?
A. Every two weeks, unless a holiday interferes with a game.

Q. Who will hold the positions in the Camarilla?
A. That is up to you.  The players will elect all positions.  There will be no non-player-character  position holders, with the exception of the Tremere Chantry Regent.

Q. When do I make a character.
A. The sooner the better.  If you don't have a book, come to the first game and make it there, or  e-mail
characters@grimharvest.com and we will have your character sheet ready for you at the next gathering.

Q. How do I find out where the games are?
A. As soon as you send us your e-mail address, or mailing address, and give us confirmation that you will be playing, we will send the next game location to you.

Q. Will there be a newsletter?
A. Yes, though it will be sent out over E-mail.    For those that don't have internet access, there will be a newsletter available at game and they will be sent a letter with the next game location.

Q. Who is on staff?
A. The conception of this game was to create a live action vampire game because we like to roleplay, this is not a chance for the staff to grandstand or to prove any points.  Right now the current staff is Storytellers: John Barrett and Joey. Narrators: Adam Moskowitz and Jarred Jimenez .    The staff will grow accordingly with the game, so it may soon grow larger depending on the turnout of the first few games.

Q. Do the Tremere Get the basic ritual Rite of Introduction for free?
A. As stated in the rules section of this page the Tremere get 1 free Ritual for each level of thier primary path.  The Tremere Chantry Regent will decide which Ritauls to give out  (no experience spending).
Rite of Introduction will probably be the first Ritual a Tremere would get.  So yes, a Tremere that starts with Thaumaturgy will start out with Rite of Introduction.

Q. How much do Rituals cost?
A. As per the Laws of the Night page 124 rituals cost 2 exp. for a Basic, 4 exp. for an Intermediate, and 6 exp for an Advanced.  Starting characters can't buy additional rituals at Character creation, you start with the free ones you get for your primary path.

Q. How difficult will it be to acquire Backgrounds in-game?
A. If you use your influence to bid on holdings you can acquire various backgrounds that you control, but they are vulnerable and it is almost a shot in the dark to get the right ones.  The setting I created is full of NPC's for mentors, allies, contacts, and even diablaries.  Just like in most games you have to come up with a plan.  Once you are established in the game you can chat with the Storyteller on e-mail and the Storyteller will give you some suggestions in the right direction, but ultimatly you have to come up with the plans.  New backgrounds are available they just might not be as easy to find.

Q. What exactly are Holdings?
A. Holdings are Businesses, Areas, People, and Items that produce a Background effect (Allies, Contacts, Fame, Herd, Influence, Mentor, Resources, Retainers, and sometimes Generation).  These Holdings are usualy tied to a location and vulnerable to attack.  Holdings are solid, concrete, and physically accountable.  Holdings can be obtained by bidding temporary Influence for the control of them at the start of the night.  The Holding is yours untill someone takes it from you or it is destroyed.  This system also makes Influence very important.  If you still do not understand Holdings, wait for the first couple of games and I am sure you will catch on.

Q. How do Generation points work?
A. When making your character you spend the appropriate amount of backgrounds to get the desired generation, then when it is time to spent freebee points you will recieve a bonus according to the chart in the rules section.  For example if you would like to be eleventh generation, you spend two points in the generation background and when you count up freebees, you would recieve  three bonus points.

Q. Are there OUT OF GAME ACTIONS allowed?
A. Yes, OUT OF GAME ACTIONS are encouraged, a character is allowed 2 OOGA's in between games, your actions or intents should be e-mailed to the storytellers at
storyteller@grimharvest.com.

If you have any more questions send them to the staff at questions@grimharvest.com and we will do our best to answer them here.
