Standard third edition of Mind's Eye Theatre Laws of the Night will be used with a few exceptions. When in doubt use the book or contact a storyteller.

Exceptions:
Generation Bonus: The problem is with characters starting at 8th generation. In the past there have been bans on lower generations, but we are trying our best not to limit the game, so here is the fix: Each generation gets character creation bonus points depending on how far from 8th they are. Note: You must still purchase Generation normally.

  • 13th generation gets 15 bonus character creation points
  • 12th generation gets 12 bonus character creation points
  • 11th generation gets 9 bonus character creation points
  • 10th generation gets 6 bonus character creation points
  • 9th generation gets 0 bonus character creation points
  • 8th generation gets 0 bonus character creation points

Independents: Independents are any clan not of the six Camarilla clans: Brujah, Malkavian, Nosferatu, Toreador, Tremere, Ventrue. The only independents you can start with are Gangrel and Caitiff.

Disciplines: Every level of a discipline cost 3 character creation points at character creation. At character creation, out-of-clan disciplines are limited to those possesed in the six Camarilla clans with the exception of Thaumaturgy, which is only available to the Tremere clan. Advanced disciplines may be purchased at character creation for those that are 8th generation for 6 points. You may purchase an out of clan discipline up to 1 level lower than your highest in clan level. If you have an in clan up to advanced you can purchase an out of clan up to 2nd intermediate.

Thaumaturgy: 1) For every level a Tremere has in his primary path he will get a free ritual of an appropriate level. So if the Tremere has his primary path advanced, he will have 2 basic, 2 intermediate, and 1 advanced free rituals. 2) The advanced of weather control, Lightning Strike, does aggravated damage now. 3) While using Path of Blood a Tremere has the option to spend a willpower to ignore the effects of the blood bond. 4) Any path represented in the Laws of the Night or the Camarilla Guide are acceptable for a starting path.

Freebees: There are a few ways to get extra points at character generation and throughout the game.

1) Background. You will recede 1-4 experience points (not character creation points) for a detailed story of how your character came into being. Backgrounds are typicality at least two pages and should leave no questions unanswered about your character. You have up to six months from your first game to receive experience points for your background.

2) Concepts. You will receive 1-2 character creation points for a one page or less description of your character's personality, goals, flaws, and quirks. Concepts can be turned in at any time but must be turned in at character creation for the character creation points.

3) Chronicles. You will receive 1 bonus experience point each game if you turn in a chronicle describing what you did (not what happened around you) each game. Typically chronicles are 1 page or less, and can be E-mailed

4) Leadership. You will receive 1 experience point if a storyteller feels you did exceptional role-playing in a game.

5) New Sites. If the game is held at a new site that you found or provided, you will receive 1 experience point.

6) New Players. New players receive 3 experience points for their first game, instead of the normal 1 experience. If you brought a new player to the game, and they play for at least 3 games, you will receive 1 experience point for each new player.

7) Coteries. If you join a coterie in a game you will receive 1 experience point. You will not receive this bonus if you are already a member of another coterie, or if you had been a member of that coterie already. This counts for coteries that are approved by the prince only. The prince can not be a member of a coterie.
