1.One who is torn apart 

=> Along with the ending theme of chrono cross this has to be one of the best in game music ever(From Xenogears). It is almost as if the character 'id' is coveyed through music. It shows great uncertainty tention an uneasy power. I wouldnt like to give away the storyline of this unbeleivable rpg here but I will say that the scene deserves such good music. Enigmatic and Calm.

2.Max Payne

=> As you can see most of the music on this site here is from rpgs. But this is a rare exception. I expected a up tempo distortion guitar based song for the theme of an action game(which I havent played). But the song is actually made up of a haunting cello performance which builds amazingly and has just plain expressed the theme of darkness beautifully.

3.Nemuri      Tsugunai Tiltle

=> From the little known and relatively obscure au cinnuait soundtrack. I dont know the real names of these tunes as I got these midis from a japanese site. But they are both exceptional celtic sounding midis.

4.The Riders of Rohan(Edited) 

=> From the Lord of the rings. One of the highlights of the subsequent two movies of the trilogy was the accurate potrayal of Rohan through a beautiful theme which is superbly orchestrated. Showcases the beauty of the land of the horses but also just faintly expresses the courage of the people.

5.Execution Site

=> From the action packed final fantasy tactics soundtrack. Almost like a motion picture soundtrack but very fast and has a great part in the middle where the instruments are used to simulate a strange kind of floating atmosphere followed by a powerful orchestration. Quite good.

6.Balto

=> From xenogears creid. The very essence of purity itself. An absouletly unbeleivable flute solo backed occasionally with acoustic guitar which increases its tempo gradually. Is there any need to say more about Mitsuda?

7.City of flickering destruction

=> One of those midis which have no special melody or phrase but are simply extraordinary due to some character in the instrumentation. What makes this midi great is that the tune emerges from only one idea and then progresses around it. Similar to the bio lab theme from page 4.

8.Morrowind

=> The title music from what is said to be a very non linear rpg reccomended by a user(rakuru). A simple theme but still very endearing.

   9.June mermaid

=>Music made to synchronise with ripples on water. Very soulful and brooding. A piano intro followed by violins and other great orchestral elements. Another masterpiece from Mitsuda.

10.Blue Traveller 

=> A fast paced theme which changes its character many times but the final flourish is excellent. A very good all round tune.
