Jade became the new Green Lantern of Earth, whilst Kyle Rayner went off into space to recruit members for the New Green Lantern Corps. Not long after receiving her ring, Jade and Kyle managed to defeat and capture Sledge(GL#107). Jade then helped Kyle when he was trapped inside his own Power Battery by Dr. Light(GL3-D#1). Then after about a months training he left her to go into space. Jade has teamed up with Wonder Woman to fight an enemy that resembles her dead mother, the villain Thorn (GL#108), confronted her childhood tormentor from her old orphanage (GL#109), and had helped her father control his starheart power from getting out of control (GL#110), the result left Alan Scott older and back to having his old vulnerability (useless against wood).

Just recently Jade as lost her power ring when it was stolen from her by Fatality, during an underwater conflict to save John Stewert's life (GL#112). Fatality was finally defeated by John Stewert who released all of his power to destroy Fatality. This has left John paralyzed and powerless yet again, and no remains of Fatality were discovered, and Jade's ring was thought to have been vaporized in the blast. Unfortunately Kyle had destroyed the other rings out in space when his attempt to restart the Corp failed. This happened when he not only had given the ring to a madman, but in the following battle against him one of the new recruits died in battle. The reason why Kyle destroyed the rings is because he thought he could make new rings from Jade's when he got back.

But Jade's ring did survive, only to be discovered by former villain and Batman foe, Anarky. Anarky went to the JLA to ask for help him stop a powerful threat called Abberation from destroying the universe, but unfortunately they didn't believe him and almost captured him. So Anarky decides to acquire the most powerful weapon in the universe, the GL ring. And then finds Jade's at the bottom of the New York harbour (Anarky #1). After hearing about who had it, Kyle went after Anarky and they battled for the ring (Anarky #2), until they teamed up the defeat Abberation. At the end of the battle, the ring yet again disappeared and is believed to be finally destroyed (Anarky #3).

Things were starting to get better for the couple, that was until Donna Troy decided to show up at Kyle's recent Art Exhibition. Kyle left the Exhibition with Donna, and cancelled the plans he had made with Jade. Basically Donna told Kyle that she couldn't remember any of the time they spent together, and that she was seeing Roy Harper (aka Arsenal). After coming back from the aftermath of Day's of Judgement, Kyle got home to find that Jade had left him (GL#118), later revealing to Jade that he and Donna kissed when she came to pick up her belongings (GL#119). Jade moved into an apartment on the Lower East Side of New York (GL Secret Files #2). She started to develop powers over plant life, like her mother The Thorn. Luckily they manifested when she prevented a mugging, using her newly discovered powers to subdue her opponent. She continues to live by herself, and just recently she's had to deal with the "death" of Todd. Jennie is still continuing with her photography job, including taking the year book shots for Tim Drake's Boarding School.

Recently she has phoned Kyle(GL#131), but only to communicate that Fatality is back, and this time she has a new version of Sinestro's Yellow Power Ring. Not long after Kyle defeated Fatality, Jennie and Kyle started dating again, albeit this time taking it gradually(GL#133).

Towards the end of this time period Jade accompanied the JSA and the JSA reserves on a mission to destroy Imperiex's Base and Power Source, and was a key player in its destruction, even though she was powerless at this time (Confusing seeing how in GL she had her power ring for at least a month on publication). She acted has a channel for the combined power of Dr.Fate, JJ Thunder, Thunderbolt, Black Adam, Sentinel and Dr. Occult and use there powers to return the planet Daxam (the actual source of power for Imperiex's base) to it's right orbit, in the process Imperiex's base was destroyed and with the left over power Jade transported the JSA back to their ship.
