They made their 1st appearance on Outkast's debut Southernplayalistic and fans knew from then that when Cee-lo, khujo, bigg gipp, and T-mo dropped their debut album it was go be fire!!! Classic stuff like "dirty south", "soul food", "cell therapy" and more made this a classic album. That stupid "sauce" magazine should have gave it five mics but you know they are biased as hell. Anyhow the cd went gold and got more street cred for the group than they could shake a stick at. The albums theme was basically the black people as a whole need to wake up to the lies perpetuated by white America, "cell therapy" even touched on how secret societies plan to exterminate and enslave blacks, and all lower class citizen in general. One track that stand out a lot to me is "live at the O.M.N.I" which a righteous and uplifting song about racism in the south and how it's no all good. In 1998 the group released STILL STANDING and album that like SOUL FOOD was bangin and full of soulful and righteous tracks, it also went gold. They collaborated with buddie Outkast on the classic "black ice" which I listen relentlessly even today. The groups next album was not well received by all goodie fans, some evne accusing the click of going commercial and being clowns for their label. Me personally I thought was a great album I think what worked against it is that too many of the hot songs were put in regular rotation on radio stations almost at the same time! "get rich to this", "chain swang", "All A's" and about two other songs off this cd played simultaneously on radio stations (in Ga at least). And by the time some folks got the cd they heard everything. I think also fans didn't realize that goodie were coming from a different perspective on this album. They were trying to focus on positive things and have more fun with the music. Like I said I ain't made at goodie mob I thought it was banging!!! The group recently had been working on a new album up until Khujo-goodie was in a terrible car crash that resulted in the loss of his lower leg. However it has been said he is in "good spirits" and he is okay. The goup however announced their break-up to the world recently due to personal and professional differences.
