Ephesians 1:4-5
Before the world was created, God had Christ choose us to live with him and to be his holy and innocent and loving people. God was kind and decided that Christ would choose us to be God's own adopted children.
Understanding this text can help reduce exam anxiety. Ephesians 1:4-5 shows us the source of our worth and value. The source of our value is Christ and Him crucified. Our value does not depend on our own accomplishments or efforts. God chose us before we were born, before the world was created. God chose us before we would ever write an exam. Making 100% on an exam cannot make God to love us more. Failing an exam does not cause God to love us any less. We have nothing to prove to the Lord. Knowing we have nothing to prove, God's love and our worth are secure, helps reduce the burden we feel of having to earn love and prove ourselves. For stress reducing strategies click here.
