2 LED mod variation

Ok, I've finally put up some pics of the 2 LED version mod. By the way, there are also pictures on the submissions page under the "LED & light related" section that were submitted to me by Steven and David. The pictures that are on this page are of my 2 LED LS.

As far as updating the walkthough: I really don't think it's necessary since the only difference between the 2 LED and the 1 LED version is that you need to drill 2 holes instead of 1 and that you need to solder 1 LED to the other one, and then solder the wires to the LED.

If anyone needs more specific directions or clarification, feel free to mail me and ask :) Here's the pics:

Benefits of the 2 LED version:
  • brighter (obviously), and whiter
  • more or less eliminates the "blue halo" effect of the 276-320 LED
  • better screen coverage

Drawbacks of the 2 LED version:
  • less battery life
  • extra effort (more steps) required in the modification process
  • more glare to deal with
So there you have it :) I'm really not going to say which version that I like better...they both have their advantages and disadvantages. Also, keep in mind when looking at the pictures that (as everyone who has tried to take these kind of pictures has said) when they come out of the camera they do not look exactly as they appear to the human eye. Usually there is less glare and there is more light coverage over the screen than the camera lets on.
