Gizzle Reward System

WHAT ARE GIZZLES?

Gizzles can be a Pack's unit of currency that a Cub can earn, or loose at each meeting.  Gizzles come in denominations of one, two, five, ten or 100 Gizzles.  Only those Gizzles officially printed and signed by Akela are legal tender.

WHEN ARE GIZZLES HANDED OUT??

1. Five Gizzles for a clean inspection
2. Five Gizzles for an Achievement Badge
3. Ten Gizzles for an Award Badge
4. Fifteeen Gizzles for a Star
5. One Gizzle for each Cub in the Six that has the best inspection
6. Gizzles may also be handed out at certain game, camp events or helping out after meetings

WHEN ARE GIZZLES TAKEN AWAY?

One Gizzle is taken away for each reason:
1. Improper inspection; one point each for not bringing in dues, Cub book, paper, pencil, not having a clean uniform, shoes untied, neckerchief put on poorly, jeans/track pants, undone buttons, dirty hands and not standing at attention
2. Sloppy opening and closing ceremonies (talking in the circle, etc..)
3. Talking or fooling around when others are talking
4. Sixers not phoning the members of a Six to remind them of meetings/camps or any other special items that are required

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH GIZZLES?

At the end of a Scouting season the leaders can look at the budget, and any money left can be used in an auction to buy various items one can use as a Cub; compasses, camping utensils camp chairs, ponchos, etc...

All the Cubs will see the items they could buy, and knowing how many Gizzles they have, can bid on one or multiple items.  Cubs cannot spend any more than the Gizzles they have, although sharing between Cubs is allowed.  The highest bidder wins the item.

Example Gizzles currency are in this MS Powerpoint 2000 file.
