 GCVOA supports the monthly Volgograd Free Speech Forum that provides a free speech educational and learning experience for Russia. The Volgograd Free Speech Forum was established in 1994. It is patterned after the City Club of Cleveland that was organized in 1912 and is the oldest continuing forum series in America. GCVOA supports the Volgograd Director with a monthly stipend and expenses for the Forum. The Director conducts monthly Forums on national and political issues by well-known and often controversial speakers. It has become a significant part of the Volgograd region's communication and media fabric, and regularly receives national media attention. |
