Course
Contours: |
The
MCA course is a blend of three sciences viz. Mathematics, Computer Science
and Management Science. The emphasis in four semesters is on building a
strong foundation in mathematics, data structures and programming techniques.
The later semesters go on to make the student proficient in RDBMS, OOPS,
GUI, Systems Programming, networking etc. They are thus, well-versed in
the areas that form the core group of professionals in the present industry.
The course devotes a large amount of time to practical whereby the student
can apply the concepts learned in the classroom. The heavy assignments,
periodic projects and seminars give an insight into the practical aspects
of the subjects taught in the classroom. The 6th semester is where the
students get industry exposure as they are required to do a project during
that semester in a company.
