Description: John Starfire can be indentified by his red, wavy, and as long as military regs allow hair, along with Blue, twinkling eyes.

Republic History: With a name like his, he was born to be a starfighter pilot and carried the hologenic features that would've made him succeed in the imperial Navy. if only that were fated to be so.

He grew up on Contruum, and among his neighbors were Airen Cracken and his family. Cracken, who was later the chief of New Republic intelligence, taught Starfire the evils of the Empire. Starfire grew up and learned how to fly alongside Pash Cracken, Airen's son.

While Pash Cracken was sent to the imperial Academy, Starfire joined the Rebel Alliance and served with distinction at Hoth, Derra iv, Tundelbah, Endor, and many other battles. The taste of defeats like Hoth and Derra iv was bitter, but he weathered it and lived to see the glory of Endor.

He served his time with Gauntlet Squadron, fighting the Empire in all its forms for 15 years. He trained many pilots and as his piloting reflexes atrophied, his skill as a commander and teacher improved.

Promoted to commodore, he oversees a Marauder Corvette and the third reincarnation of the legendary Remember Derra iv Squadron- the first incarnation of which served with distinction at the Battle of Adumar and other battles of the sort.

He is nearing retirement and is happily content with the work of his pilots, but he longs for the days he spent soaring over the skies of Endor, fighting the Empire personally in one on one duels against TiEs.

Starfire's career has been topsy-turvy of late, as a traumatic heart attack has resulted in him being forbidden to fly starfighters. He continues to serve the New Republic, however, as commander of a task force.
