★ Harry Potter
dumbledore's army
The D.A. is a group formed by the students of Hogwarts in order to defy the ministry andlearn how to properly defend themselves against Voldemort. It was made of different houses (teams) of the school. Some actually fought against Voldemort and his Death Eaters (Voldemort's followers).
Rousseau articulates the idea of a social pact. "Since men cannot create forces, but merely combine and control those which already exist, the only way in which to preserve themselves is by uniting their seperate powers in combination strong enough to overcome any resistance, uniting them so that they're powers are directly by single motive and act in concert" (59-60). This is saying that in order to make this force, man has to combine seperate powers that already exist, instead of creating new ones, so that their force is strong enough to fight for a single goal. In Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix, the houses, who usually fought against one another for their own house spirit, put aside their differences and united under the common cause to defy the Ministry of Magic and fight Voldemort. Also, by joining forces, Dumbledore's Army was much stronger than Harry fighting alone.
