There once was a girl named Gen... who had started to read Young Justice and completely fell in love with the characters. Eventually, she started buying the Superboy and Impulse titles as well.

Now Receanna... had already been a fan and a writer. She had previously corrupted Gen into writing ~titans slash~. Which, Gen will admit to liking now. And then Gen made a comment, that changed everything.

"You know the one character... that I never want to see slashed?" Gen said, and then told Reccea it was Bart Allen everyone's favorite underage speedster. Reccea just laughed and pointed out that there was ~subtext~ in canon. Then they started random writing, which started out partially as a bet and half as a dare just to see if they could squick the other out but...

The next thing you know... they had finished a story. Then another. Then started seeing more innuendo in canon and soon enough resigned themselves to writing Bart/Kon slash. It did, however, take significantly longer for them to accept and revel in it, if you must know. We fought the good fight, damnit! We just happened to lose.

And just for the record... writing Bart and Kon slash kinda squicks us out too.
