Neopets Battledome Do you want your pet to be a battle champion? Then follow this advice to win all your battles! The Lab Ray Collect all 9 pieces of the Secret Laboratory Map to be able to use the lab ray once a day. This will cost around 100,000np but it's worth it. It will increase your pet's stats when you zap your pet. Beware of the negative effects though, like species, colour and gender changes. The lab ray usually increases your pet's statistics but it occasionally drops some stats. Only levels will be dropped. Note: the lab ray does not increase or decrease your pet's defense level. You must change it yourself. The Training School If you have painted your pet or you like it just the way it is and want less risky training, or you can't afford the lab ray, then the Training School is for you. Every hour you can advance one of your pet's stats - for a price. You must pay the master a codestone. Codestone prices are very volatile, but it will usually cost you between 3000 and 6000np. You can choose exactly which stat will be advanced. Battle Items Having good battle items is a necessity. Good stats won't help you win if all you have is a Chia Bubble Gun! On the other hand, the more attack, defense and hit points your pet has, the better it will be in the battledome. You need a mix of high stats and battle items so it's a good idea to spread your money out between training and battle items. Most of the best battle items are very expensive. However, there are some cheaper ones that are just as effective. From the list below YOU choose what you would like to spend your hard-earned NP on. Black Frost Cannon : Expensive, but deadly. For a more cost effective alternative, use a different colour cannon (Green Frost Cannon). Grand Lightning Beam : Expensive, but deadly, especially when sued with Black Frost Cannon. Basic Lightning Beam is a cheaper version. Scorchstones : Extremely expensive depending on which colour, but very useful. They can reheal you so your pet lasts twice as long in battle. Snowballs : Never under estimate these. They can only be used once, but are really cheap and do some serious damage.
