Divine Principle and Conventional Christian Doctrine

(Cont'd from Page 1)
continues to do so today.

The Principle further elucidates that the returning Lord comes as the third Adam to accomplish what Adam and Eve were unable to fulfill, and that which was unrealized due to the crucifixion of Jesus.(Acts 1:6; Rev.12:10). That is; the original ideal of God.

When will Christ return? The Principle states that he will come at the close of the providential age: 6,000 biblical years after Adam, and 2,000 years after Jesus. Specifically, the 400 year period after the Reformation of Martin Luther (1517), and the victorious conclusion of World War I (1918) served the purpose of laying the worldwide foundation (spiritual and physical) for the birth of the returning Lord.

Divine Principle

a king and savior. This was their messianic expectation. (2Sam.7:12-14, Is.9:6-7; Jer..23:5-6). God sent the Messiah in the person of Jesus (Lk.1:31-33). The Messiah comes to complete God's work of salvation. This is needed because of the fall of man. The fall thwarted God‘s Purpose of Creation, which was to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

The Purpose of Jesus Coming as the Messiah
Jesus came to complete the Purpose of Creation which is to establish the Kingdom of God on Earth and in Heaven. He preached that all should "repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand," (Matt.4:17; 10:7) and that his disciples "must be perfect as God is perfect,"(Matt.5:48). He also taught his disciples to “Seek first the Kingdom of God …” and pray that "God's Kingdom come, and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven." (6:10)

People who are restored through the Messiah, and are able to be perfected on earth would become the sinless, holy sons and daughters of God, and citizens of the Kingdom of God on Earth.

Why then was Jesus crucified? And, was his crucifixion able to realize God's original purpose on earth? Has there been any Christian, throughout the two millennia, after Jesus, who were able to live in absolute oneness with God, as a perfected person?

Are Christian parents able to bring forth sinless children? St. Paul, one of the most devout of the early followers, lamented the turmoil of sin in his members (Rom.7:24-25), calling himself a “wretched man.”

The conclusion drawn from the above, is that, redemption through the way of the cross did not restore man’s original nature and neither did it resolve the problem of the original sin. It was only able to give man “spiritual salvation,” not complete salvation (spirit and body). Fallen man awaits the Second Coming in order to receive redemption of the body. (8:22-25). We therefore, must examine why Jesus was crucified.

"Family is Forever" Corner

“A couple has to establish a family with the affection generated from each other, and it should match God’s purpose. Otherwise, you cannot enter the Kingdom of heaven. This is the conclusion and God’s purpose of creation. Who are the true husband and true wife? The true husband thinks that he was born, lives, and will die for the sake of his spouse. The same is true for a true wife. When husband and wife as the substantial bodies of eternal love can extend the family-level love to the love of a tribe, they can be considered a true husband and true wife. Then they also can participate in God’s love.”
