| So there's a lot of NES sites on the world wide web. In fact, after Brittany Spears and Carson Daily fan pages (OH HE IS SOOOO CUTE LOL!!!), NES sites probably rank #2 in the "Most Likely To Accidentaly Be Brought Up In A Search Engine When Minding One's Own Business Looking For Hot Chimpanzee Porn" category of the Internet Oscars (If there was such a delegation and/or awards program.) Well, I never claimed to be trendsetting. Just gimme my NES, damn it. Gaming today sucks. Good gameplay has been sacrificed for such superficial traits like, "State-Of-The-Art Graphics" and "Realistic 3D Sound." Take your bit-rates and processor-speeds and blow them out your ass! 8-bit's where it's at. Where gameplay was *essential* because, unlike today, when a game was bad, it was *BAD*. Back in the day, no amount of graphics and sound the NES was capable of producing could hide a bad game. When a game sucked, everybody knew it. Just ask LJN. The best games on the NES may go down in video game history as the best games *period*. You gonna tell Mario differently? |
