I went to Venezuela in late December of 1995. I stayed in the capital (Caracas) and loved it. I enjoyed the city's museums. When I went to my first museum, I asked the staff how much the admission was and they said that it was free. I was delighted by this because all of the museums in a popular plaza were free to the public. And they were good too! There are all types of museums there which specialize in various art styles, from Cubism to abstract art, etc. Each can find a place to suit his/her interests. If you are not the museum type, then you can hit the markets to shop (great deals for those with American dollars), visit the Amazon in the southern part of the country, see Angel Falls which is the world's highest waterfall, or do many other things. These are a few of my pictures. Venezuelan museums have art inside as well as outside of the building. Sometimes the art is bigger than people. I am standing under this work. I still don't know what it was.
