Note: the following role descriptions and character generations
have been adapted for FREE FORM ROLE PLAY and as such will use
minimal statistical information.

The first thing you will do when you start CyberPunk roleplay is
to generate a character. Now this is slightly different in free form
than in refereed role play in that the character is not based on
statistics generated by rolling dice, but rather is written by the
player. It takes creativity to make a good free form character, just
as it takes creativity to write a fictional character in a story.
Good characters balance their advantages with disadvantages to make
them more interesting and challenging to play. For those of you who
have never tried your hand at free form or who aren't familiar enough
with CyberPunk to make a conversion, go to Character
Generation for a simple start to making a workable character.
There are several types of characters (roles) common in CyberPunk.
Your role is your main career. Characters can have more than one
role, for example, a RockerBoy waiting for the next gig to come along
might spend his spare time as a Fixer. However, it's my recomendation
that you start out simple and stick to one role until you're familiar
enough with CyberPunk free form to experiment.
REMEMBER: The most important thing in playing cyberpunk is
ATTITUDE and STYLE! It doesn't matter if you blow it, as long as you
look good doing it.
Here are the roles you will most often encounter in CyberPunk
Cafe/Sierra Survival. Once you get the hang of CyberPunk free form,
you can create new roles. Just be sure to clear the role with a
moderator before you play it. (Note: the Mindstar role is considered
too powerful to be used as a PC and is reserved for NPC use.)

a character in that role.
