HEATING
The heating system for the greenhouse is a bit of a Rube Goldberg type of setup but seems to work well in our zone 5 climate. We attached a recirculating pump to the supply side of a 40 gallon hot water heater. The pump circulates water through 300 feet of a heat resistant 5/8" water hose that runs back and forth across the length of the greenhouse floor. The floor was covered with  1" thick layer of styrofoam insulation before the hose was layed. The water flows through the hose and then is pumped back into the hot water heater through the drain at the bottom of the tank. The tank has a 15psi release valve on top to keep the pressure from building up to high. The heat from the hose rises and heats the air.The pump is controlled by a thermostat that turns it on when the temperature drops below the level it is set at.The benches on both sides of the house also have hydronic hoses runing the length of them that are supplied by the same pump. Since we had set this system up the temperature inside the house has not dropped below 55 degrees even when the outside temperature was 5 degrees below zero. This summer we will add a layer of gravel over the floor this should help to radiate the heat better and to retain it for a longer period.
THE GREENHOUSE
This is the top of the water heater. We have a pressure regulating valve & backflow preventer before the cold water line is attached.
The water is fed in to the front of the pump and then pumped through the red garden hose and also the white hydronic tube.
The garden house is looped back and forth the length of the green house floor on top of the insulation.
The hose feeds back to the drain of  the water heater and closes the loop in the recirculating system.
The thermostat is mounted 8" above the bench in the middle of the green house. The thermostat controls the electrical outlet the pump is plugged in to.
The hydronic tube loops back and forth the length of the benches and is attached to the hardware cloth bench top using wire ties.
