The week before Termon had cockily predicted of topping the Northern League this year! Little did they think of coming up against the mighty GLEN! Termon playing into a strong wind opened the scoring in the first half with a point. This was to be the only time that they would lead the match! Glen with the wind in their backs hit back with 5 unanswered points, before Termon registered their second and final score of the half. Glen finished the half strongly adding a further 2-04 to their tally, with the goals coming from a soccer style finish from Cathal Gallagher and long-range effort catching the keeper of his line from Darren Mc Ginley. This left the half time score of Glen 2-09 Termon 0-02. Glen started the second half where they left of with the first with a further 1-04 before Termon replied with 2 goals, which was to be their only scores of the half. Glen wrapped the game up with a further 2 points, leaving the final score of Glen 3-15 Termon 2-02, an impressive 16point victory! Good performances came from Mark Glackin in goals with some good quality saves and accurate kicking. The Glen defence were magnificent with their hounding down in packs of the Termon team especially in the second half playing into a strong breeze, where they limited Termon to 4 scores in the whole game. Barry Molloy and Jason Mc Daid worked their socks off in Midfield. Good performances came from Gary Mc Fadden, Darren Mc Ginley, Kirk Mulhern, Caolon Kelly in the forward line along with “Man of the Match” Cathal Gallagher who scored an impressive 2-02, and helped out the defence on numerous occasions in the second half with his tight tackling and ball running skills!
