WHAT WE DID!
FRIDAY
I (Sue) got to the hotel about 2:30. The meeting room wasn't ready yet, so I spent
time with Vickie (who's beat me there!) in the lobby chatting. Rob arrived,
then Jeanine, and before too long the meeting room was ready for us!!
Sam brought some wonderful decorations, and we soon had the viewing room looking magnificent!! There were lots of Western-themed cutouts, and Rob brought a pair of really great wooden swinging saloon doors on posts, which we set up by the door and decorated with Wanted posters for all the guys. Sam also
brought some cool cowboy boot-and-cactus lights, which went up over the food
table.
Linda and Margaret soon arrived, and we ordered pizza from Buddy's Pizza
(voted best in Detroit!! :) ) for dinner. As we ate in the hotel's lobby/breakfast area, my sister Sarah arrived, and after the pizza was polished off we moved into the viewing room for the start of the festivities!!
Carla and I handed out the welcome packets, and we had a blast making the keychains (though we left a few little crimping beads behind in the carpeting!!)! The royal blue and white T-shirts were a big hit!! We handed out some cool M7 address labels Vickie made, and some neat USA flag buttons Sarah put together. Then it was on to M7 videos, with plenty of commentary from the audience!! :)
