WHAT WE DID!
SUNDAY
Sunday morning we recovered from Saturday night :). It was raining pretty
heavily, so instead of picnicking outside we took the food to our apartment!
Our cats Toby and Tango seemed a little confused, but everyone had a great
time, and afterwards we went to Henry Ford's Fairlane estate.
We toured the house, which was full of beautiful interiors and breathtaking woodwork. Ford liked to decorated his fireplaces with his favorite poems, and the huge fireplace in the ballroom has Robert Herrick's 'Gather ye rosebuds while ye
may' poem on it!! Of course, I couldn't help but think of the end of 'The
Trial' in which Ezra changed the ending of the poem just a bit. :) Strangely
enough, the poem on the fireplace said nothing about bloated wood ticks... :)
After the tour, sadly, it was time to depart among much hugs (unfortunately,
everyone had to work Monday). Everyone had a marvellous time!!! A million
thanks to Cat and Amy for putting this all together!!!
