Well, to start out, GLAY's videos have never been that great. Their lives are way, way better. Some videos are funny, some meaningless, and some great. Anyway, we girls would watch videos just for eye candy, so let's get on with the reviews.
SONG LIST:
1. Yuuwaku
The whole thing closes up on some sort of simple drawing, playing "May Fair", then ends, showing Video Glay 4. You are then greeted by the loud drums of-
Yuuwaku = The lights flash, closing up on a CAUCASIAN woman who's s-l-o-w-l-y zipping up her dress to reveal her white legs. Up to her hip. Oh yes. It's basically a weird video with her supposedly trying to "seduce" Teru? I love Hisashi's legs there tho'. *EVIL GRIN*. Teru looks gorgeous as well. Bad points? Very, very bad super-imposing. Also, why a Caucasian girl?
SOUL LOVE = You see six men entering some sort of building, and Teru suddenly lifts his hand and the music starts. +thanks to Kougaiji for pointing that out!+. We are greeted by GLAY and supporting members fooling around doing funny stunts. Imagine Kougaiji and my surprise when we suddenly saw JIRO singing!! We could hardly contain our laughter throughout. It's just a really great video. Teru is also au naturel and charming there and this is a supposed "wedding" for Teru and Hisashi... Hmm...Anyway, it's one of my favourites.
BE WITH YOU = In the darkness, Teru's head suddenly appears and starts singing the first two lines passionately. "Anata ni aeta koto....shiawase no atosaki..." Then it shows Teru driving and Jiro and Hisashi talking on payphones. +I was surprised. Can you talk from payphone to payphone? Kougaiji and Cologne said "YES", annoyed, and eagerly watched the video+. It's a black and white video, and it shows them performing in an empty alleyway. Hmm... it's quite nice and in the end, you see Hisashi and Jiro walking with each other and Takuro entering the car Teru's driving. A nice relaxing video.
WInter, again +directed by Yutaka Onaga+ = You suddenly see a white background. The camera slowly moves sideways and you realise it's snowy. Then blam! Guitars and drums and a haunting singing meets your ears. Teru's face suddenly comes into picture, well not all of it, his eyes and nose only. Many people, +Kougaiji included+ think this is boring and drab, but this is one of my favourites and I love watching this video. I don't really mind Teru wearing contacts, it brings out the snowyness and whiteness of his face. Very beautiful video and must've been really easy to film because there is no cutting at all. At the end, the camera zooms out slowly and until you cannot see the members anymore. An emotional video as well, thanks to Teru.
Kokodewanai dokokae = Before I start, Kougaiji and Cologne, +Kougaiji especially+ always used to say "Kokodewanai dokokakakke!!!" Anyway, I find this video boring. What is with that explorer? the bird? Did she die? It can only be one that the director can answer. Overall, the scenery and GLAY themselves are very nice to look at.
HAPPINESS +winter mix+ = SUPERMAN! Teru's wearing his underpants inside out! *stifles laughter*. Sorry, but his outfit is really weird. I really like the parts where each member stands in front of this glass screen and they play beautiful scenery on it. What's with the water? Hmmm....another answer only the director will know...
HEAVY GAUGE = I thought this video was really, really weird. But now, no matter what Kougaiji says, I think it's really cool! HISASHI!!!! Man! His oufit is waywaywaywaywaywaywayway... WAAAAY cool! I don't understand it though. Did they stop the world from getting destroyed? Was it the man with the cross who caused it? Or was it him who saved the world? ARGHHH!
Winter, again +directed by Hiroyuki Nakano+ = Another Winter, again video. Hmm... this one shows Jiro placing the camera to his eye then *click*! Teru looks nice here, but Jiro... brrr!!! I prefer him with his Dragonball Z look thank you very much! I prefer the other video. Well.
FINITO!!
