Guru Shakshath Parabrahma Thasmy Sri Gurave Namaha

Guru is the representative of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. He creates, sustains knowledge and destroys the weeds of ignorance. I salute such a Guru.

The Only Salvation for us in this Mundane Life is ...... ?

The stay of human being in the world is very brief, but without realizing this, he indulges in worldly pursuits instead of trying to reach the goal of salvation. After enjoying transitory pleasures, holding enviable posts and thereby occupying a good status in society, at one stage he may feel that there is still a sense of vacuum and that he has not totally fulfilled the purpose for which he was caused to be born. Then he will start looking back and regret that the days that were spent were a waste because his attention was not pinned on God and spiritual exercises. This sudden urge is itself a significant turning point in life.

Human Birth itself  is meant for expressing the eternal relationship between man and God. The simplest path to the Divine is through devotion. It is common to see even those who are devoted to God, blaming Him in times of distress, realizing that one should think of Him more during crisis so that one can derive moral strength. Even though we can learn about the compassion of the Lord from the instances cited in the Epics and the Puranas during His avtar as Rama and Krishna, it is possible even in this Yuga to become worthy of His grace through the mediation of saints. When devotee exhibits unreserved love for the Supreme, He also reciprocates and takes care of the welfare of the devotee. The lives of saints show such God-Centered Life ultimately which is the path to liberation.

In the earlier age, when Lord Shankar took avtar as Dhakshinamoorty, it was not possible to follow the method of devotion without guidance. He taught His disciples through silence. Throughout the instruction, He did not utter a word nor did the disciple ask any..

   'Mouna Vyakyanena Prakrithiha'

In the later ages, When Adi Shankara who was born in Kalady, Kerala spread Advaitism. This has brought forth the real meaning of the Sanatana Dharma and the relationship between individual soul and cosmic reality and the reasons for countless births and deaths. He explained in simple terms the Jivatma and Paramatma. The Ultimate in the world is the Feet of the master there by without Lotus Feet of the Guru, nothing in this world. Guru 's distinction is that understands you and your needs and gives you what you need. Once your need is fulfilled you are liberated from the world by bondage and you attain the eternal peace. So, Adi Shankara said, the Feet is the Ultimate.

   'Dhyaanamoolam Gurur Moorthihi
   Poojamoolam Guroh Padam
   Mantramoolam Guror Vaakyam
   Moksha Moolam Guru Krupa.'

The Guru's form is the best to meditate upon; the Guru's feet are the best for worship; the Guru's word is the mantra; the Guru's Grace is the root of liberation

Puranas explain the word 'Guru'. It consists of two words Gu and Ru. Gu stands for darkness and Ru stands for removal of the darkness. The darkness represents illusory world and destruction is the removal of the illusion. In the later ages, so many saints were born in the different parts of the world. Among them, Jnaneswar, Tukaram, Namdev, Tulsidas, Meera Bhai, Surdaas, Aalwaars, Naayanmaars, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu etc. They all emphasized one method of devotion - Namasankirtan that of chanting and singing the glory of God. Coming to the age of Adi Shankara again,

In order to spread his philosophy, Adi Shankara established four mutts in the  four corners of India. In the north , he founded Jyotir Mutt at Badrikashram where the Alaknanda flows and installed Narayana and Poornagiri Shakti as the presiding deities. Totakacharya was made in charge of the institution.

Satguru Gnananandagiri Swamigal whose poorvasrama name was Subramanya born in Mangalore, Karnataka ordained to sanyas by Sri Sivaratnagiri Swamigal of the Jyotir Mutt of the fifth Giri order. According to my knowledge, no one can tell the age of swamiji. He emphasized strongly that in this Kali Yuga, the Only Salvation for us was Namasankirtan. He had travelled length and breadth of all over the world including Burma, Srilanka, Singapore. He has established mutts in different parts of the world. One of them is Thirukoiyilur, Thapovanam near Thiruvannamalai Tamilnadu.

His Chief disciple was called as 'Guruji' by all his devotees, followed His Master. As Rishi Sukha says - 'Kalau Sankeerthaya Kesavam'  ( singing in praise of Kesava ) is the easy path to attain the Lotus Feet.
   'Naham Vasami Vaikunte
   Na Yogi Hridayae Ravow
   Math Baktha Yathra Gayanthi
   Thathra Thishtami - Narada'

I do not reside in Vaikuntam. Nor do I reside in the hearts of Yogis mediating on me. But then I do dwell in the hearts of my bakthas singing, dancing and chanting my name Oh! Narada ! - so says the Lord and in true translation of this into practice in Kaliyuga, Guruji Swami Haridhosgiri set out to propagate 'Namasankirtan' as his Chief mission in life. This helps one to attain Sayujya , i.e. oneness with the Lord. To propagate Namasankirtana Cult throughout the world, Guruji established Sri Gnanananda Seva Samajam / Mandali all over the world. He constructed a Temple for Sri Panduranga-Ragumayi at Thennangur, Tamilnadu. Currently His chief disciple H.H.Namandagiri Swamigal called as 'Namaji' follows His Master to spread Bhakti cult through Namasankirtan.

About me, born in a Namasankirtanist family and to my knowledge and age (24 years old), I wish to conclude safely that the ONLY Salvation to reach the Divine - Lotus Feet in this Kali Yuga is Namasankirtan. This is the Ultimate.
