Bio: Giles the Watcher, suprised Buffy on her first day at Sunnydale High when he presented her with a book on 'Vampyres' out of the blue which put Buffy off the librarian for quite sometime. Giles throughout Buffy The Vampire Slayer has developed a bond with Buffy one that reflects a fathers love. Despite being mocked by the Scooby Gang on man an occasion he has still kept on top of things. Giles apart from all his faults as 'Watcher Guy' still manages to keep his emotions in check, most of the time but when a young IT Tutor comes into his life his world would never be the same again, Jenny Calander was into everything that well baffled giles, her books were the internet. While Giles struggled with these strange ways of the techno pagen Jenny, Buffy was going through a crisis with Angel who had now become Angelus. Jenny's involvement became clear to the Scooby Gang and Giles in all his infinate turned his back on Jenny with the rest of the Scooby Gang, despite his feelings for her. He only admitted his feelings for her at her grave 'As a Watcher I have seen many people die, but I have never loved one.' he told Buffy at which point Buffy apologizes to Giles for the fact that she was not strong enough to kill Angelus, to save Jenny.
Through the following Season, The bond between Buffy and Giles falters when Buffy reaches her eighteenth birthday. It is protocol to test the Slayer when she reaches adulthood, this test involves a muscle relaxant, leaving the Slayer incapable to fight back but when he sees what this is doing to Buffy, her doubting herself and what she'll do if she never gets her powers back, causes him to tell her the truth at which point Buffy feels betrayed by Giles. The test does however continue on when the Vampire Buffy was to face escapes and kidnaps her mother, Giles comes to Buffy's rescue and ofcourse buffy being the resoureful one, passes the test but Giles however discovers that he FAILED the test and is dismissed from the Watchers Council.
Giles then has to deal with the new Watcher that the Council sends to watch over Buffy and Faith. The new watcher forever uses Giles as a referance section and uses Giles' expertize in the field of watcherhood despite the quips and sarcasm the scooby gang send the new watchers way.
Giles now in his wisdom supports Buffy in everything she does, helping her through college and enjoying his life as a single man.... (To Be Continued)
