1998 Davehawk Comeback Now Complete Odd Daughters fall in 7 games for Dave Avery's 2nd title
Opposed by the Evenson Odd Daughters (making their first LCS appearence), the Hawks and their opponents split the first four games, with the visiting club claiming victory in each. Willie Greene broke the spell for the Hawks at Coors Field in Game 5 with a grand slam and 7 RBIs to give Chan Ho Park his second win of the series and his club the lead heading back to Evenson's home turf (artificial, that is) at the Astrodome. A strong outing by Odd Daughter starter Ismael Valdes and the third LCS homer for Jon Nunnally helped force a Game 7. The Davehawk pitching never let Evenson off the mat in the decider and made a 4-run 5th inning stand up for the victory. Park for his two victories and dominating 11-strikeout performance in Game 1 received the MVP.
