Shigure Sohma
Shigure is the playful dog from the Juunishi. He's spunky, sly, and loves to tease his younger relatives. He's a bit of a pervert, but that's to be expected. He does have a serious side, and he can be quite seductive when he gets his prorities in line, but over all, he's a fun loving, genki character.
Shigure is a writer for a company whose name we never learn, and he loves to torment his editor Mit. If you think fights between Yuki and Kyou are funny, you have yet to see Shigure's playful antics at teasing her. I feel sorry for her, really, with what she has to put up with from him. He writes novels and dime store smut, but he seems to love his job. Bringing humor to the Sohma household never gets old when dealing with Shigure, though Yuki and Kyou don't take much crap from him. He gets on both boy's nerves easily by teasing Tohru or making a remark about her. He admires her, though, and complains a lot when she's not around. It may be because he's despirate for attention, or maybe it's because Tohru's a high school girl. But it's most likely because Shigure's just that kind of guy--the kind of guy who pokes fun at girls and loves to see their reactions.
Shigure's the first cursed member of the family that Tohru chances to meet. She doesn't quite understand his suggestive jokes, but she seems to like him from the start. He's charming, really, and very friendly. She learns to trust and respect him right away, and can't thank him enough for letting her stay at his house. Shigure takes to Tohru right away and treats her well. He's the one who got Akito to let her keep her memory, after all. In fact, Shigure seems to be the only one who can talk to Akito without flinching, and he doesn't seem to mind putting up with the man. He has a level of respect for Akito, but it might be because he has to deal with it. Or maybe he's afraid of him. It's hard to tell with Shigure.
When he was in highschool, it's apparant that he, Ayame and Hatori were more than just friends. It's not as easy to tell now, seeing as Hatori doesn't like to talk about it, and Ayame and Shigure only hint towards it. But yes, they were all a bit of an item. ^_^;; Shigure gives Kyou and Yuki advice when he feels they need it, though he can be known to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. Over all, his intentions are good, but hist timing is off.
