There is a place that can be place that makes dbz toys. They a little company, little people know about them. They grow good old corn and beans, and make them into dbz toys for all the good little children to play with. What is place you ask? It's a little place, called Irwin. Yes, a good, family-run store. Nah, it's big company with big trucks. Well, excuse me for being so retarded just now, I couldn't help it. Well, in this section, you'll be explained how Irwin went from only re-releasing the SBC, into making completely new series with never before made toys. So sit back, and enjoy the ride. (None of this was stolen, it was all written by me, so I would appreciate it if you wrote your own info too. You can use some dates and things, but if I find you took the whole thing, you will pay)

The Early days-

Back in the summer of 99', Irwin started releasing the SBC (Super Battle Collection) to America. They were basically the same, except in different packaging. By the summer of 2000, they'd released 13 series, some containing SBC figures, others that weren't from the SBC. Some of the toys that were from the SBC were released more than once. Here are some pics of Irwin's toy during that once year period-

The Irwin we know, and sort of love-

The same summer they released their last Series from their re-releases, they came out with their own toys. The following section here on is dedicated to explain how Irwin got better, and what things are next to come.

Series 1

Well, in series one, they released in June 2000, and contained Bulma, Garlic Jr., Master Roshi, Raditz, and Nappa. While good for the first ones, now, they are not very good, Irwin has improved very much in two years. Back then, they were shiny. None of their elbows moved either, but their legs, shoulders, and knees did. (not all of them, but for like Raditz and Nappa, all of those moved. They were a great start for Irwin.

Series 2

The following month, they released series 2. This contained Burter, Chiao Tzu, Freiza Second Form, Jeice, and Yajirobe & Karin. They were still shiny, and still, their elbows didn't move. But they did have some never before released figures. Not too much improvement from 1 to 2.

Series 3

In September of that year, yet another series was released. This one contained Chi Chi Dende, King Kai, Krillin, and Trunks. Still, not too much improvement, but they were all very good.

Series 4

After months of waiting, Series 4 hits stores in May 2001. It contained Androids 17 and 18 (sold separately) Goku, Vegeta, and Piccollo. They were pretty good. You think after that much time, you could get rid of the shine, but it was still there. They did make them very good, though.

Series 5

Finally, some progress made. After more than year of making their new series, they finally got rid of shine in September 2001. Also, the first Irwin toy that's elbows move, (and only one so far) Dr. Gero. This series contained Dr. Gero, SS Goku, SS Vegeta, SS Gohan, and teen Trunks in Sayian Armor. This was a big step from the last, but not as big as the next series, the series that blew them all away.

Series 6

I consider Series 6 as probably Irwin's best work, just because it was such a jump from all the rest and the rest are done in that same style. If you look at the picture I give you for this one, and look at the picture for the last series, you can defiantly see a big difference. These were supposilly introduce in September 2001, but I never saw them till December. I know, because I updated in my second update ever on my old site about seeing them, I remember. So, I'm not sure. This series contained Cell, Android 16, SS Goku in Armor, SS Trunks in Armor, and Android 19. Irwin added some red stuff in the hair and cracks of the toy, which are probably there for detail. I like it, I know some people don't. And after making Dr. Gero's elbow move, you think they do it to some other figures, but they didn't.

Series 7

Series 7 was a lot like 6 in the way they made it, no major break through. This February collection contained Teen SS Gohan, Great Saiyman, Spovich, Goku (again) and Majin Vegeta. They were very detailed just like all of the series after 6. That's about all for them.

Series 8

Just recentally, Series 8 came out. That's right, only last April of 2002 came out. It contained Videl, Dabora Angelic Goku, SS Gohan (black Jumpsuit), and Goten and Trunks 2 pack. They were very good.

Well, that concludes my section dedicated to Irwin. From releasing SBC stuff, to making their own never before seen stuff, Irwin has come a long way. And as long as Irwin keeps making toys, I'll keep adding on to this section. Hope you enjoyed it, later.
